The whole point of #Bitcoin is not to have counterparty risk. Amazing so many people still use fiat-bank-like custodians.

This is Skeuomorphic behavior, and it will fade over time.

Serious question. For smaller buys do you wait(leave on exchange) for a threshold of accumulation before sending to cold storage? Or do you send any amount the moment you can?

In Canada, Bullbitcoin sends your buy directly to cold storage.

I send it in tranches but that's only bc DCA is like that.

It depends on fees. But yeah it’s fine to leave a small amount temporarily. Have to minimize fees too.
