If I could use a yubikey to sign for nostr that would be awesome

Absolutely

You talking about nsec bunkers?

Hardware signing devices to hold your nsec, offline

Similar to a Bitcoin hardware wallet

It would have no use, a private key for Nostr needs is exactly like a private key for a lightning node. It has to be online all the time in order to sign notes. Otherwise you just have a dead, unusable account.

What you could do is put the private key on a secure enclave inside of a hardware wallet, but it would still need to be connected to a device that is always online in order to be functional.

I have that signer, I haven’t found a great use for it.

Amber works because your phone is always online

If there’s something new that I should be learning I’d be more than happy to hear!

No secure element… 🙃

Oof

What if I do not want to change your mind?

What if I agree with you?
