I’d set mine to self destruct after a week

ok i will add this to damus ios and android

Nice πŸ‘

Yes. A lot of the stuff i say should not stay :D

especially with all the typos i make.

Yep. I wouldn’t mind if most of my stuff is ephemeral. I’d set it all to go away.

I like that idea. I think I might.

What's cooking? πŸ˜‰

No NOSTR is my journal, I expect it to outlive me.

But if you're asking if plebs will want it as a feature in the future, then yes, I think it's a good option.

I will.

I feel like mine already do. My old posts aren’t in my feed.

Absolutely. I wish NFTs did that too.

The right to be forgotten.

For shitposts I would def do that, if for no other reason than to help keep relays clean. There is no need for this to live in perpetuity:

no

Yes, definitely

i'll run the paid relay that keeps em

Could have fun with stuff like that

Heck no

Probably.

Sure, sounds like a nice feature

Yes forgetting is human

Hell yeah.

I delete most before i even publish them

SameπŸ˜‚

It should be the default below a certain follower count but there needs to be a flag when posting to tell relays to hold onto that specific post.

I've said this many times. The user must get a control mechanism. Some posts are for all time (for my kid's kids) and others (most) should self destruct after 12 months. That allows for short term continuity of discussion but doesn't mean the conversation is burnt into all of history.

You can't delete anything on the internet. You can repudiate. Here we are again at the keys rotation debate that comes up every now and then.

Sure, that better reflects natural human interaction. I’m on nostr as a digital town square not a digital library.

Yes.
