Actually, my personal opinion is that securing the border is wise, and that mass migration erodes diversity in cultures we see around the world. I think mass migration is not necessarily good for the migrants nor the residents, at least in the short and medium terms. There are also cultural conflicts that often occur.

It is completely aggravating watching tens of millions of people pouring over the border, being flown around the country on taxpayer dollars, receiving 6 months or more free housing, phones, visa gift cards, food stamps, and getting expedited interviews at the immigration offices in front of us. They have been fully incentivized to do so from the NGOs flying them from their home countries to Ecuador, to the busses driving them up to Mexico, to the USG giving them free things when they arrive. I would do the same if it was me.
