Good running workout on the treadmill today.

12 x 800m with a 2 min break in between each set. Kept about 4:30 pace, 4 min pace for the second part of the last round.

It was. 1st couple of rounds were honestly as bad as the last ones. There was a sweet spot somewhere half way through 🤙

I believe it. We used to do 400m "sprints" for high school wrestling. Other than hill workouts, those were the toughest by far.

Haha nice. Yeah it's one of those workouts where you know it's making you fitter so you do it, but you cant wait for each rep to end 🤣

how many times a week would you do a similar workout? Assuming you were trying to improve your 400m time

Hmm I'm actually not sure for 400m. I'm training towards Hyrox which has a bunch of 1k runs separated by various stations, so next week I'll do 1k instead of the 800m.

I'll only do this kind of workout 1 time a week thankfully 🤣
