At some point you've gotta wonder why to upgrade? I mean the power of phones to be the center of most any kind of connection you want is available now. You can power a spaceship to the moon with your cell phone! So what would be next for Apple? Good question, huh?

They never did. Why bother? They control the standard, their market is captured, there is hardly an alternative. They could sell a fucking banana with an apple logo on for double the current retail price and they'd sell out.
Comparable Samsung phones with greater global sales in Q1 2025 have 120hz 🤷🏻

Whoever cares about refresh rate buys the Pros. iPhones are a status symbol to an extent so people won’t mind paying a big extra
Yeah I agree. I get that the middle of the bell curve overpays for features they don’t use and prioritizes status symbols, convenience, or familiarity.
I’m just pointing out it’s amusing how they get away with including old tech and weak specs.

I do love how Apple still supports decade old iPhones. Maybe not everyone needs the most powerful 2nm chip on their phones, specially when we have other hardware devices like laptops, desktops, iPads, watches, speakers, headphones, TVs and AR headsets.
