Stopped drinking, never have really drank whiskey like that 🤔

Single malts embraces proof of work

Single malts are the way. Blends are shitcoins

This 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽

amazing

Avi, teach me your ways.

I’m partial towards the Islay single malts. They tend to be smoky and peaty. Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Clynelish, Caol Isla and Ardbeg. Talisker is another good one, although it’s from the Isle of Skye, not Islay.

We need to head to the next Bitcoin conference in Edinburgh and then get #[4] to give us a tour of the glens

Damn yessssss would be so awesome

Drinking some Lagavulin 🥃 tonight to will this into existence.

Hmm never had that! What do you recommend?

Lagavulin. Definitely Lagavulin - it tastes like the smell of fresh rain on earth

Any recommendation which Lagavulin? Complex or smooth?

You’ll most likely only find the 16yr. The 25yr is very hard to find

You have so much knowledge! Would love to learn more form you! Thanks for the information 🫂

Years of trial and error experience drinking and narrowing escaping going blind. Not sure it’s a good thing

🤣🤣

Have some years to go to reach that

me rn👀

The 16 year is the classic timeless one but they have a variety. Currently have opened a bottle of the 11 year charred oak cask which has some extra smoke if you like that. But all Lagavulin is very smokey.

Alright thanks! This is so interesting

I have to ask, are you particular to smokey? I’m interested in knowing what people accept as the ‘best’ Scottish whisky.

Personal preference. For me it’s the combination of the smoky and peaty taste - reminds me of the smell of fresh summer rain on soil in the tropics

That’s awesome: Your views on Scottish whisky are based on experiences in the tropics. Goes to show that taste is subjective on a whole other level.

Cheers, Avi. ⚡️

I like smokey personally as it is how i was introduced. But it definitely is not for everyone.

Like everything, taste is indeed subjective. But Lagavulin is one of the smokiest out there. Which I love.

Lagavulin is the most loved, no doubt, but it’s still ‘mellow’ compared to Laphroaig. No offence, I’m just really interested in who appreciates what.

The Laphroaig quarter cask is a beast

Are you tempting me? I think you are!

Laphroaig is wonderful as well. Different smokes for different folks

Wait. There’s one in Edinburgh?

There was one last year. Right after Amsterdam, so I couldn’t stay, unfortunately

Hope and wish I can go one day to an awesome conference. But for now they’re just a bit too expensive for me. Rather stack some more sats

Ok I need to get up to speed. I was there last year for several weeks (work). Must have had my head under a pillow…

oh yeah, the glens. they are right over there 👉 - have fun.

Have some talisker! Not bad

Appreciated. Let me know when you come to Scotland, and I’ll join you for a dram or two.

I’ll be ending my day with Balvenie 14 yo Caribbean Cask 🥃 cheers

Hmm enjoy sir! 🥃

What do u think about Jack Daniels? 😂🙊🙊🙊

I don’t see blended whisky as good quality. It’s like comparing to shitcoins & proof of stake.

I rather have single malts which stand for proof of work
