Discussion

Have we discussed this already? Where are you getting your beef, local bucher? Sprouts? Always grass fed?

I’d be curious to know preference between grain/grass. As I understand it, the grain-fed beef will always be more marbled/fatty.

Is it? I thought that was a different process but forgot.. to get it fatty marbled..

All the grass fed are so much more tender, better flavor. I could just be getting bad grain fed…

Usually the marble come from less movement, from grain fed. Grass fed beef has less marble, healthier. It’s less tender, and has a stronger flavor. Some people don’t like it.

I must have been eating bad grain fed.. I need a better butcher..

See if you can find some Texas wagyu. They’re better than California wagyu, good stuff.

Yes kinda. Grass fed beef also tend to look darker I think. Slightly less fat. Less tender, stronger beef flavor.

Less tender for grass fed? The grain fed I’ve had is not so tender..

I approve
