What’s the largest amount you’ve sent over lightning? I’m blown away when paying large amounts just works. Sending $1000 to anywhere in the world in under a second with final settlement = 🤯

Amazing!!! #Lightning rocks!⚡️
Cash app allows up to $999, I would love to send more though!
As Bitcoins price rises, it will become easier for me to pass that USD value through my own node without routing issues. Not quite there yet though.
TIL they cap it, so you can only send less and less sats over time? 🤔
Possibly. At some point I’ll have to shift from being paid in Bitcoin over Cash App to finding a real Bitcoin paying job, which would route around that issue.
I also think that withdrawals >$1000 being forced on chain is more a matter of legitimate challenges for routing big ln transactions, and a lack of economic incentive to improve ln capacity (on chain still dirt cheap).
I’d be disappointed if they implemented sat denominated withdrawal restrictions #[3]
Will get there
2.5m sats is mine.
It's awesome

It also blow my mind when you tell people this and it doesn’t blow their mind.
Often they just don’t believe it
Many don’t understand that fintech is a shiny new house built on ancient, broken plumbing.
Mindblowing
.25 BTC Max so far
Fee?
Ibex is great
My largest one was 7m sats
Fee gets too high if not well connected. Lightning, as a rule, will never be well suited for large amounts, anything above 10 million sats.
I think about 6M sats over multiple hops is my record, but others routinely make much larger payments! I’m convinced we’ll eventually make all our transactions off-chain, unless maybe we sell large islands
We don't want that to happen
1 BTC providing liquidity to LOOP
It was a year ago.
2.5m sats was my max.
I was actually a bit concerned as it took much longer than normal to confirm.
👀
1 million satoshi
We used #Liquid for House purchase.
My friend send in between 500-1000 regularly to his Chivo wallet. How btw there is no chivo in the liste of wallet of Damus.
Good question! I reckon I have sent $750 or thereabouts many times. It’s possible I’ve done some over $1000, just can’t recall now. It’s really amazing! Lightning works incredibly well for me, especially on my own node where I can monitor liquidity.
7m sats
12m sats
In the future people will be sending millions of dollars on lightning. It's just as easy as sending $1. All you need is a ring of large banks or governments with channels between one another. It just makes sense.
I donated 0.1₿ (iirc) to the @hodlonaut legal defense fund via Lightning using my own self-soverneign node. It worked fine, no issues at all.
~5,000,000 sats
There's a lot of buzz around your post.

Yep, 3-5 M sats from my own node which is an average one, works pretty well most of the time.
