Basically in the same position except I do use Nostr on mobile. I am typically too busy to use it much though. That and social media it not as fun for me as other people seem to find it.

I’ve been taking steps like that too. Only have Damus on IOS. Removed Twitter months ago, and only use Twitter occasionally on desktop. No blue check, and never will.

Now the question is which desktop client?

Amethyst has been too good for me to switch to desktop only, but nostr has made my social media binges much smaller, more focused, and arguably way more fun

I’ve noticed the easiest way to make people uncomfortable in public is if you sit at the bar, or restaurant, or doctors office, or bus stop and not be on your phone.

It’s really creepy this is where we’re at socially.

Been thinking about doing this for a week to try it. Are you using a dumb phone or just an Android phone with app minimalism?

This is seriously the way and I may follow suit. Way too much distraction being connected all the time especially with my phone.

Nostr has seriously rejuvenated my excitement with social media with all the work being done and the quick advancements but I'm also realizing I'm spending more and more time in front of a screen rather than in real life.

A life/technology balance check is in order for myself.

I joined Twitter in March to support EM and his apparent free speech efforts. Three months later I deleted my account after he hired a Cabal WEF puppet. No TV + no anti-social media = MATRIX extraction.

How are you curating your feed on Nostr? And what have you find you are filling the time with when not distracted on mobile?

Not having an ad every 3rd post is a much better experience. Posts aren’t filled with hatred. Not having an algorithm selecting what you see helps greatly.

This is the way. All of a sudden you have soooo much more time on your hand eh? Not having social media on your phone also makes you realise how lost other people are. starring at their phone all day even when seated on a terrace with friend for a coffee. terrible...

Only things mobile devices are good for are imo are short form comms like signal and simpleX, taking photos, listening to RHR and getting directions in the car. CalyxOS got me covered on all these counts. As a result, my device is usually in my bag as I don't get my stare on at all these days.
