Jesus was affirming the Old Testament, In Matthew 5:17: "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them,"

A great verse, but it’s important to see through the Judaized attempts to say the opposite of what Jesus (Iēsous) was actually saying. Matthew is the most judaized, so let’s see it from the corresponding verse in Luke about the Law and the Prophets (and think about how this contradicts Matthew’s);

“The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void."

- Luke 16:16–17

vs

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is announced as good tidings, and every man forces into it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, even as the law and the prophets have passed away, than one tittle of my words to fail.”

- Evangelion/TVFB 13.1 (Testamentum 14.17-18)

Notice the Judaized text swapping Jesus’ “words” with the “Law” at the very end. An overt attempt to connect Jesus to the Torah/Hebrew Bible—Jason D. Beduhn says this in his Evangelion reconstruction text notes about it…

[ the Evangelion read "one stroke of my words to fall"; the witnesses to Luke consistently have, "one stroke of the Law to fall." The latter reading seems to contradict the immediately preceding verse, where it is said that the Law was in effect only until John ]

Why would Jesus (Iēsous) say that, when the very previous verse was saying the opposite?

The latter also aligns with this from Jesus; “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”

- Luke 21:33

Let's also remember that "...God is not a God of confusion..."

- 1 Co 14:33

Relying on the law brings a curse (from YHWH), as no one can keep it perfectly. Jesus (Iēsous) redeemed us from this curse, and “the law is not based on faith”

- Gal 3:10-14

YHWH ≠ JESUS (or His Father)

You cannot get the Tree without the roots. The 4 Gospels were written before Marcion came along, you put your faith in Marcion. Do you believe Marcion more over Luke who wrote the orderly account in first place? You can take any text you want take out parts and read out of context. We need to understand what the original author wants to tell us.

I treasure the texts claiming to contain Jesus' words. However, the Gospels are anonymous, and Jesus didn't write anything or instruct us to read texts. He sent the Holy Spirit to teach us and recall his words (John 14:26).

I repeat, all four canonical Gospels are anonymous and it’s only through church tradition that they’re ‘believed’ to have been authored by their named title.

This isn’t gnosis, it’s in the Orthodoxy commentary, you just have to read past the first few paragraphs at times.

The first NT was by Marcion (that is unattested) and included one Gospel (Evangelion / Gospel of the Lord) and the Apostolikon (The 10 Pauline Epistles), some scholars (such as Dr Markus Vinzent & Dr Mark G. Bilby) right now are scientifically proving that this predated the latter canonised Luke (and was not a redaction).

Some thing that I only shared the other day was the "Evidence that Evangelion pre-dates Luke; the Capernaum Conundrum"

In Luke 4:23, Jesus references deeds done in Capernaum before his narrative visit there (Luke 4:31), creating an anachronism absent in Mark and Matthew, where Capernaum precedes Nazareth.

This disruption, not found in the reconstructed Evangelion (Marcion’s Gospel), suggests Luke expanded an earlier gospel, with the Capernaum reference revealing a redactional seam.

This is one of many examples that supports John Knox’s view of Luke as a later, expanded text.

Paul wrote it better then I could ever do it!

“I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭10‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Friend, you are not following Jesus. You deny Him by rejecting His sovereign involvement throughout the Old Testament. Jesus is eternal, has ever been and will always be. Died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day, so we may be free in Him.

I pray for you and your family that you may be lead into truth and that you can lead your family in truth and spirit.

I honestly appreciate our conversation and your prayers.

I say this with zero condescension, but there is some irony in you sharing that verse, and I hope you can take the time to watch these two videos to understand why I say this. 🙏🏻
