Yep!

I don’t any😀🌶️

I hate sunscreen BUT… the peeling on my lips! 👄 ugh!

Hydration! Vaseline works wonders!

It's Dino approved!

😂

No lies, Vaseline coats you in oil and basically you create a seal on your skin trapping the moisture in. I mean that's it basically.

I use it when I get out the shower, just a nice small layer of Vaseline on the wet skin.

Next morning I look so lovely🥰

I am gen x enough to remember the days of baby oil and iodine though…

Baby oil gives me a rash. I started mixing iodine into my Vaseline. Because I'm getting rashes from the punching bag and on my feet too, so much so it's bleeds so it's been helping lock in moisture and antiseptic

you should read what Dr Kruse has to say......he reckons everyone can adapt to the sun by starting slowly.......like jogging.......bit a at a time. Cant vouch for it personally because my skin is like totally immune to the sun. In any case he reckons sunscreen is total psy-op.

I think that works, actually 🤔

If you are going to try it......no sunglasses either.....apparently the eye has a UV receptor that is required for sun adaption..........dont ask me anymore, coz I am not smart enough to explain it further 😀

You do not need to protect yourself against the sun. A sunburn is fine. Just get more shade if you don't want the sunburn. And UV light is actually good for you.

I would have disagreed with all this myself like a year ago but then I looked into it.. 😆

Agree but I’m very pale, so my lips peel and it’s annoying

Despite my lip balm addiction too—which is even more annoying.

Lip balm addiction, that's a first for me 😆

Better than some of my past addictions 😂

Oh I can imagine, I went from one addiction to another as well, until I found the coin

Addicts love bitcoin 🧡

You'll be looking into it again in 40 years if you are prone to it - this is the thing I see most around me now, old leather skin and carsonoma removal marks all over the head and chest.

Careful out there...

I would say that is due to other circumstances such as sun PLUS a bad diet such as one where you're consuming (a lot of) seedoils.

Add wearing sunglasses to that list

Definitely, that is one of the most difficult to believe scams.

We have somehow taught people that real food is bad, almonds have teats, and sun is danger 🤷‍♀️

Your milage can vary for sure!

Just don't count on that "sunburns don't matter" part. At a minimum, you have inflammation followed by scar tissue formation just like every pimple or mosquito bite you get. Microscopic, yes, but just like stacking SATs, that inelastic tissue accumulates with time.

Gotta keep those Chad good looks rocking into you 70s : )

Thanks for the warning. If anything I spend too little time in the sun though, I haven't gotten a burn, even a little one, in the last 20 years.

Jealous. I can burn. Randomly.

I'm probably just a lot more "indoorsy" than you 😆

You’re right

Sunburn is caused mainly by eating seed oils . So putting them on your skin for protection from sunburn is not logical. Coconut oil (a fruit oil) is fine.

I had an aunt get melanoma right on top of her lip. The removal was garish. A place she never thought to protect…

We live in Arizona…for context

Wow that is heavy! The young folks can't imagine this happening to them - its all "shit posting theory" during their perky invincible phase : ) , but reality is an uncaring bitch for sure.

Well, she was of the generation that sat outside to tan... and people don't really do that now...

My Mom was the same - baby oil and aluminium foil reflector at the beach.

Yes, but it's only a 4-10 SPF, so know your skin and act accordingly.

Thank you 🙏🏻 I’m going to try it and see

That's like 4 am Sundays. You need durable SPF.

Lmfaooo you wanna cook yourself?

Just use the clinically manufacturered stuff, seriously.

No. I’m in the USA. It’s all junk here.

No Nivea or Himalayan Herbals? Ah man.

The only reason why I say this is that there's this cool video on YouTube from Veritasium who looks at Sun block and how it works etc.

It literally coats your skin with a blocking agent you can see. Idk how intense the emsun is there but here in Africa it's Poes hot and sapping, so you need at minimum SPF 50

Nivea but doubtful it’s the same mixture

It's a UVB and UVA value of about 4. So no, if you're very sensitive, that won't be enough! But there's something more important: try not to wear sunglasses, so your eyes know when they've had enough sun and you automatically look for shade and hide in it somewhere indoors. If you're very sensitive, it's better to wear white long-sleeved shirts and pants. What also helps is taking ASTAXANTHIN. Hope this helps.

But have you seen the people who don’t wear sunglasses? They get a line from squinting. On. Their. Eyeballs.

(This is why we all benefit from older friends).

I do live in the desert too. ☀️ sun is deadly here most of the year.

I'd rather wear a huge hat to make shade, so the eyes can stay relaxed 😉

It's important to hydrogenate. Drinking coconut water, fruits and good water. Sty hydrated from the inside helps a lot.

In the article you sahre, tehy say: Coconut oil has omega 3! This is not the case! But yes, it helps to cure sunburn together with aloe vera works really well. But it's the lauric acid in the coconut oil, that helps to cure too.
