What was your most profound or life altering event?

Holding my first born in my arms.
I can imagine! I'm really looking forward to that day 💫
It’s the best. But I would think even more so as the mom. Having carried it. Wish you the best. Just don’t be in a rush. It will happen.
I've lived a thousand lifetimes in my 29 years. Yet I hear you haven't lived until you have children. I'll give my career another year or two before I move on to that chapter.
if you can get 3 kids to school or preschool on time, u can do anything.
the most high respect to the mums and dads - crazy fucks💜🤙🏽
I really suck at age guessing. Perhaps that picture is old, but I would say that is the face of a 24 or 25 year old. A beautiful one at that. I think your plan is a good one.
Respect that. I was young when I had my first child, spent the rest of my life building around his needs above mine and anyone else’s. Of course I wonder what path I would have chosen or career I would have chased, maybe not having him wouldn’t have gave me the drive early on in my life to strive for a better life. But being able to focus on a career and deciding when to have kids is an amazing choice and I love that for you. 🧡
I guess guys don't really have that choice. Personally I would never do an abortion. Responsible women don't "just get pregnant" Not that hard to take an extra pill with your vitamins. If I did get pregnant I would drop my career in an instant. Says a lot about you that you stuck around 💜
My respect and admiration for you just keeps growing. Product of good parenting I assume.
💛
Oh we have a choice. My “dad” made the opposite. Signed the papers and walked away. Which, made me want to do the Opposite. Had my boy at age 21 and still with her and added a set of twins. Been with her 15 years and made it work. Sure. Been easy to walk away, but that’s not what real men do. I know not every situation is the same, but I’ll do everything for my boys and make sure I’m here for them.
I see I showed my age now 😅👀
Only bad part. That day starts the years of worry. That never stops. But worth it. Oh so worth it.
The moment I was born. Terrible experience!
I don't know much about rebirthing but I hear it can help reactive attachment disorder.
I meant the actual event. One moment I was there tugged away in my warm little cave. The next moment huge hands grabbed me, pulled me out of my cave into bright lights and slapped me on my butt. I just wanted to be put back into that cave. It was soooo comfy
The pandemic scam that opened my eyes to how completely corrupt the world systems are.
The founding fathers would flip in their graves if they saw how lost America has become. Lies, war
Machiavellian cronyism etc.
When Jack sent me 100k sats...

It's people like #[4] that taught me not to judge people by the cover. He seems like an incredibly interesting and decent person after all. Real enigma.
I mean this in the nicest way.. not sure why you’d think he is anything but a normal, decent, caring human being.
What I saw at Twitter a few years ago was nightmarish. Anybody left of CNN's narrative was pretty much shut down. Reading the Twitter files that Elon dropped really made me think. Now it seems more like Twitter was pretty much hijacked by left-wing extremists and government/corporate interests.
I would say understanding #bitcoin . I know know sound 🧀zy but it has led me to topics that have given me perspective in life.
I'm more optimistic about life, pretty big on my book.
'None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free'
#Bitcoin fixes this!
Reading Atlas Sheugged, that was a tipping point from where I went down the rabbithole. The context also made it more meaninful.
Excellent book. I really liked some of Rand's lesser known books like "We The Living" also!
Shrooms
I tried psychedelics (DMT) once. It was the most eye-opening event in my life. I realized that "I" was part of something so much bigger than myself.
It made me know that everything is okay. All part of something so much bigger than self.

I still remember that day, the lines I wrote, and the music I was listening to. I was never the same again.
Lines & Music

A violent home invasion. Not a joke
Terrible. I’m long self defense tools
It changed my entire outlook and I became a defence instructor. I spent 6 years doing it and became a firearms instructor at the same time. I teach for free and will never let this happen to anyone else !
What the Sig p365 did for CC can not be understated
I love SIGs but couldn’t afford one. Fun fact - they were modelled after EMS equipment. So if you know anyone that works in that field it’s an excellent choice.
Interesting. I’ll have to look into that.
Obviously the market is growing. I think they just pushed hard enough to get everyone moving. My first ever was a G23. I think if I had to broadly recommend one blindly to someone, Taurus has good value. 0 to 1 is the most important part. The EZ series from M&P has been really good for older and women. Really smart of them.
Taurus is good. My only problem was a really long trigger travel. I know that’s getting picky but it was my observation.
I haven’t used M&P enough to give an opinion yet.
Very cool that you’re a defense instructor. I do a lot of martial arts. I know it’s technically not the same thing but I enjoy this general realm.
Becoming more important given so many rules about the other kind we are talking about.
It is part of the same thing. I specialise in home defence and martial arts is a big part. Every tool you have to defend yourself can fail so your best default is hand to hand
What style of martial arts do you all practice? I’ve been in taekwondo for roughly 13 years.
I’ve always wanted to try taekwondo.
I started with karate. Then boxing. Then muay thai and I just started getting into krav maga. I also have a Tai chi practice.
That’s great, I’m in a small town and Taekwondo is all that is here. But I am lucky that my instructor has been involved with Taekwondo for 40+ years. While things change with age, he has never compromised on the art. Not the pop up buy your black belt kind of place like so many seem to be now. I see more places that are designed to babysit and serve as after school care, than teaching martial arts.
NO SHIT!! We put my nephew in an ‘acclaimed’ school. 30 kids to 2 instructors. They didn’t learn anything
Yes it’s sad that so many schools are “sign this contract, pay your money, and you will get a back belt in x years.” We each more kids than adults. All students must learn in order to advance. We hold tests with multiple test board members and they must sign off on the tester for them to advance in rank. Our black belt exam is roughly 4-6 hours and is an old school test. You pay some dues to were a black belt from our school if you know what I mean. No one gets to observe any tests and must be a black belt to participate in giving tests.🤙🏻🥋👊🏻
That’s impressive. Mastery is always effective.
I took a few different styles but stuck with 2. https://targetfocustraining.com/ for the logistics and anatomy. And Krav - KMG branch. Krav was my goto and the most I trained because there was no sport fighting involved.
Tell me about your training
Sounds like it was really terrible 💜
Traumatic 😬
In 2017, I got in a terrible skateboarding accident. I was found unconscious on the side of the road, and someone found me and called an ambulance. I died on the way to the hospital, and had to be resuscitated.
Fractured skull, chipped tooth, fractured retina in one eye, and lost sense of smell from permanent brain damage. I am alive today by a miracle exclusively.
Whoa! Do you have any memories of actually dying? A friend of mine was in a motorcycle accident. He described seeing himself from above and watching the paramedics strap him into a gurney.
