I can’t form an opinion on what to think about the Maryland man who was deported to El Salvador.

Who is right here?

What’s your take #asknostr ?

Extrajudicial kidnapping and rendition to a foreign gulag with no sentence or access to lawyers based on unproven claims is totally an American ideal, fren.

Ok. I agree, this is immoral.

What about the non citizens card they keep playing?

It doesn’t pass a constitutional test.

Yes, like slavery and the Japanese internment camps in WWII this will certainly not be a blemish on our shared cultural heritage for generations to come.

🎶Cuz I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. 🎶

Until it’s your turn on the plane.

I cannot see how this massive over reach of government power could ever possibly be used against me. After all, I am a law abiding citizen and the State is infallible.

"I pledge alligience to the flag of The United States of America and ~~to the Republic~~ for which it stands, one nation, under God, with ~~liberty~~ and justice for ~~all~~.

Do you believe the Administration applied this when dealing with this person?

No. I think there is a 40% chance that "the Republic"(not to be confused with the Republican Party) will end.

I don't watch much mainstream media. I came to this conclusion after listening to two podcasts and doing a little research on Wikepidia.

The 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime. It was passed by Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865.

🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Excuse my lack of knowledge in interpreting law. How does this apply here?

He's a criminal. He got caught up now He's going to be a slave in the prison system.

If you have any records of being violent in the United States, you have a chance of getting deported.

They’re definitely in the wrong as other replies have pointed out. I have seen a theory that the administration wants this to be drawn out so people stop talking about other topics (i.e. tariffs).

We tend to forget that US Constitution is a limitation on government, spelling out the ways in which it is supposed to respect natural rights.

I haven't followed the case of the Maryland man, but there's a whole lot of "but they're not US citizens" when it comes to deportation directly to prisons.

Lack of due process is unconstitutional (not to mention immoral); it doesn't matter where someone is from or what they're accused of.

i can't control any of it and it isn't affecting me or anyone i know... yet, sooooo.... outside of my spheres.
