OMFG! I have a horrible feeling I've just been rugged of 859,637 sats😳. So, I had some stETH from way back in the day (Yes, I know🙄) that was on a Ledger. I used the "Swap" service on the Ledger app to swap them for BTC (This was apparently done through Changely). Confirmed the transaction on my Ledger, and about 10 minutes later the sats showed up on the Ledger app on my phone. Checked my balance about 30mins later and the sats are gone and the transaction is showing as unconfirmed🤔.

The above is the TX id, and when I clicked on it to look. Too my horror, I can see that "Replace by fee" is opted in😳. I didn't set that so I can only assume it is set like that by default. Can somebody with some technical expertise look into this please 🙏🏻.

But I think I know the answer, I've been rugged haven't I😕. The sats showed up briefly, then disappeared. Some cunt has replaced by fee haven't they🤷🏻‍♂️.

Or have I got this all wrong. The UTXO is still showing as being held in the relevant address. I don't understand, it showed up on my balance (So presumably it was confirmed). Now it's showing as unconfirmed. HELP please😳.

That address is showing on my Ledger app but it is showing as unconfirmed but was (briefly) showing as confirmed a few hours ago. I don't get it🤷🏻‍♂️.

I wouldn't rely on the ledger app, if its an address you control and its confirmed on chain, you should be ok. Maybe your ledger is connecting to a block explorer that's down or not updating. I recommend you setup your own instance of electrum and connect to it with Sparrow wallet on your own computer so you can confirm for yourself. Don't trust, verify. My personal instance of mempool shows it confirmed 23x

It has literally just shown up as being confirmed again now. That was a nerve wracking few hours😳😳. It wouldn't have been the end of the world for me but still a good chunk of change!

More importantly, regardless of amount, it's your fuckin' money. Run a node with electrum + your own mempool instance. Doesn't need to be fancy just run it on your computer so you dont have to rely on ledger to tell you where your money is.

Yes, I know. That's what's confusing me. It showed up on my Ledger. Went out to walk my dog. Checked again when I got back and now it's unconfirmed again🤷🏻‍♂️

Weird. You're good, though. Maybe time to do a different signing device. I had a scare like that years ago with Ledger and their dumbass app. It's Coldcard, Sparrow, and my own node now.

Oh FFS, it's showing as confirmed again now😂😂😂. I have been SHITTING myself for the past few hours. It better fucking well stay confirmed now.....!!
