Nostr Web Client

It's been a while since I looked through https://stats.nostr.band so I spent some time there. Below is what I saw with the caveat that I don't know all the nuances on how the data is put together:

#Nostr daily active users seems to hover around 8k-10k. This count goes up when something unpopular happens on twitter like Elon rate limiting posts/dms. You can see this around July 1 when active count spiked to 14k.

The weekly chart tells a similar story with the count hovering between 20k-30k

There is a massive gap between pubkeys and profiles with ln addresses. With how addicting/fun zaps are I think helping new users get immediately set up on lightning would go a long way to continued growth/enagement/adoption.

The majority of users are grouped in the top 7-8 relays

I would expect adoption to continue in waves with spikes when other platforms marginalize users.

It's funny, I put off joining #nostr because for some reason I thought it would be more complicated than it is. I've been on #nostr for a couple of weeks, and although I thought it would be a gradual transition, I hardly look at twitter anymore. Another thing I've noticed is that #nostr is a more friendly, kinder place than twitter, I feel welcome, and despite not being in a great place at all irl at the moment, I feel like nostr has a positive effect on my mood, where twitter (both algorithm and user attitude) is deflating and negative. It's a brilliant change in my opinion and I'm amazed so many users join nostr but don't end up jumping in with both feet.
