Are you testing Vault?

Isn’t it ironic that to feel free you need to be a slave of all this complicated structure?

Only if you want to use computers and phones. Which are themselves extraordinarily complicated structures in deceptively simple rectangular shapes.

No devices, no problem.

always been like that.

to feel free, you also need to organize a government that probides a standing army.

doing this complicated stuff as an individual is peanuts compared to that.

Great

Is there any particular reason for using one of these Linux distros and not e.g. QubesOS?

I would say both suggested distros are completely n00b friendly. Qubes, wilhile fantastic, does need some technical know and has a much steeper learning curve.

So basically we are saying that just using Linux has privacy benefits over using Windows or MarcOS. Do I get it right?

Started working through all this yesterday 🫡

Good.

I also suggest that for less WiFi tracking we need hierarchical deterministic changing WiFi names/log-ins. nostr:npub1gd3h5vg6zhcuy5a46crh32m4gjkx8xugu95wwgj2jqx55sfgxxpst7cn8c

Just what I needed

All nice thx 👍

But do not trust or use Tuta or Protonmail. Both are 100% honeypots.

Use gpg yourself. It‘s not that hard.

What is 'gpg'?

I don't know about gpg.

Thanks! I’m learning about GPG right now.

Any browser recommendations for Android?

Tor Browser and Brave Browser

silent link is pointless, if you ever turn on that phone near your home. You must only activate it after you are a few kilometres away from home and turn it off when you are on the way back to home.

also, obviously never log in to accounts that are linked to your real identity, so that phone will be very limited in its usecases.

silent.link and bitrefill e-sims are still great for preserving privacy when traveling overseas. no longer do you have to give away identity information to use the local cell phone network.

Looks like Your lightning wallet is down.

Yea I know... switched from Umbrel to Start9 and didn't have the time yet to figure out how to setup AlbyHub again...
