Oh, I don't really have a dog in this fight, if you're asking me. And I use Damus on iPhone because of the few clients I've tried it seems most performant and hell-thread friendly.

Fair. I've been wanting to try Damus but still think were waiting on the android release unfortunately.
Damus is great. I get weird vibes from Primal. If it’s just an interface, why push it so hard and adamantly—something is either off with it, or with my radar. My radar hasn’t failed yet though.
No real bitcoiner would argue for someone using a custodian for their main stack. How is this any different?
