I don’t know if you do need to review newer nips. the foundational architecture has no changed. users hold keys, sign notes, and publish them to many relays. censorship resistance is at the relay level. there is no global moderation system like you ran into. if that happened on nostr youd have been banned by two relays but could easily broadcast to dozens more.

Outbox model is sort of new and it is now deployed in some clients. Architecturally that changes things...
