Spoon was used, especially in Napoli a couple generations ago. Some Italians still do use them. It was a high society kind of thing, that’s why the plebs don’t like it.

You want to create a new dish, give it a new name. If I order a carbonara and it comes with cream and chicken, I’ll feel scammed.

Stuff like breaking spaghetti make no sense to Italians who have countless varieties of short pasta. Just use the short ones ffs.

Chicken in the pasta? Definitely a thing in Italy.

On top of that, cultures with tasty food (that will exclude some 🤣) will behave the same way with their dishes. Don’t call it Tika Masala if it isn’t Tika Masala.

Anyway, my bitching about the bitching about the bitching is now over. 🫡

Fair enough.

And Italy has the best food in the world. So we should pay some respect. It’s probably so good because Italians pay attention to detail.

Didn’t know that about the spoon though. I always use a spoon.

And I make my Carbonara with bacon (probably not the right one from Italy, but nevertheless), egg, parmigiano, salt and pepper.

Also there is no Pizza anywhere in the world like in Italy. At least I never had one anywhere else.

I think your carbonara would be accepted.

Italian food is fairly simple, so yes attention to detail and produce quality are key. But even in Italy quality is dropping.

The best Pizza I ever ate was from an Albanian pizzaiolo. Within Italy we have debates over what pizza style is the best. What a Roman sees as a quality a guy from Napoli will perceive as a mistake.

The truth is: Tuscan pizza is the best! 🤣🤣🤣
