Haha, OMG
I’m into edgy bands like that. Super hardcore.
I know it's a meme, but side of a bullet by Nickelback and bullets by creed are bangers.
'Look to your orb for the answer' and 'space Lord's - monster magnet
Rock is a rather big thing that people uses to describe anything between Rock & Roll and the infinite variants of metal. Anything in particular in that spectrum you are looking for?

personally the album that turned me onto rock was Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. agreed by many to be a true 10/10 album. I’d also recommend led zeppelin’s first 4 albums for a good start in the world of rock and roll. Good luck with your journeys!

Gonna get a whole different experience based on the decade.
Being biased I think 90's had one of the best sounds for rock with the snare mic at the same level as the vocals, and mixing clean/distorted guitars with rough vocals.
Nirvana set the tone that broke the hair metal bands reign from the 80's. Soundgarden was half metal half nirvana which helped bridge the gap of rock to the new era.
Once the Seattle sound was saturated it moved to the post grunge LA scene with bands like papa roach, linkin park, POD, korn, 3 doors down, etc all coming out of SoCal studios.
That's the time I played in a cover band and we covered mostly a mix of those sub genres of rock.
Tool (the band) is a must.
