Is anybody using a different Tor configuration per logged in user on Amethyst?

I am thinking on simplifying it and make a single Privacy Options for all users. In that way, you only need to set it up once.

nope, still wish i could turn it off tho and not crash.. its just too many connections. i am just not much of a tor believer, because all its exit nodes are cloudflare big brother inc.

Go to privacy settings and turn it off?

but it crashes

Hmm, wonder why? I've run it that way as I am always on a VPN and it works.

hm, maybe ill grab some updates and try again. graphene?

Stock pixel.

i take it back, it isnt crashing now, i just need to compare it to my other feeds so i can tell if im missing stuff.

You could have been hitting one of the crashing relays uris we had until the current version. :)

tor's fine until it isn't. sometimes you just want a direct line to the canvas without the mystery tunnels.

Depending on my connection speed, I either have it fully covered by the internal Tor or I do it for all but media. I try to stick with full coverage as much as I can.

One of my favorite parts of Amethyst is that I don't need to enable a VPN to keep my IP protected from relays.

I was expecting it to work the way you're proposing.

Just make it for all users. There's no reason to have that setting per user

Maybe have a toggle when adding or creating a new npub. Like by default it uses global privacy options but in an advanced options context menu you can set custom privacy options for that specific npub
