I like my steak cooked.

Medium rare for me. We are carnivores no doubt, but I'm thinking that after we discovered fire, our bodies adapted to cooked meat, being free of bacteria and other harmful organisms.

Do you do any prep at all?

Only real prep is putting the steak in the freezer an hour before you start to make it easier to cut.

thanks to this, I just saw you can use eye of round for tartare?!? what a great use for a weak cut. wonder how that texture is though.

Have been using top sirloin per nostr:npub1ejvhdkt8ppefezgz0sgnwdqrn8l4z8muws2k8dz2tv0a57ac2z9st56q8x's recommendation and it's been great. Relatively cheap and tastes great

Dangit - now i gotta make it today.

Down here in Southern California we have this mysterious pseudonymous Bitcoiner who travels to Bitcoin events a lot, so you may have met him. He comes to Bitcoin meetups with raw steak and eats it with his hands. The man is a legend.

It's not AIP approved. Do you have an alternative AIP version? Or what's your recipe? Curious to try.

I'm not sure if it's AIP but it's just

Top sirloin minced up. add olive oil, salt, pepper with meat in a bowl and mix.

Then take raw egg yolk, dijion mustard, chives, parsley, shallots, and lime juice, mix in a separate bowl.

Then mix the two together and serve.

Thank you! Will have to try. I'm carnivore and have not been eating plants but from all this I think taking out the pepper would make it AIP approved. Possibly the mustard but I feels that's a biggie ingredient in this recipe. I sometimes eat raw organ meat and my steaks are normally medium rear so this doesn't sound so bad. 😅
