Why am I brainless? 93%+ of users are on custodial LN wallets, so yes I was surprised. He told me in another thread that he actually doesn't run his own LN node (respect him for being honest).

Just FYI the Monero community forked from Bytecoin because it ended up being a scam, but Monero used the same CryptoNote protocol (now with many many improvements)
