Your strategy makes sense. I know it's unpopular af here, but I'm personally open to using altcoins like Monero for everyday transactions since you are still fully sovereign (or even Litecoin or Bcash) rather than custodial or permissioned L2s

Then there is another group that are not partial and just care about the original spirit of sovereign transactions, will use whatever that happens to be, and don't care if it has the Bitcoin name attached to it

Just FYI the Monero community forked from Bytecoin because it ended up being a scam, but Monero used the same CryptoNote protocol (now with many many improvements)
