It amazes me how almost nobody I know IRL believes monetary debasement has an effect upon CPI.

Bizarre.

Just trust the experts

Isn't it unfortunate that you just can't quite trust the "experts". I mean an efficient society is one where citizens specialize on particular skill sets and a common trust of the expert is needed. This is what allows for exponential advancements in systems, processes, and technology.

It's sad and may go so far as being criminal when people take advantage of that trust.

Well said. Absolutely agree! We must rebuild trust in society by educating our children in all the virtues including truth, honesty, and integrity. Society’s crisis is one of virtue, in my view. Let’s fighting for the true and the good, my friends!

*fight

Seriously, I had a guy tell me that "people like me are making it up". The cope these guys have is out of this world.

Yeah, I just showed a whole table of people the M2 Fred statistic and the only response I got was

Ugh, not more of your conspiracy theories. 🙄

It says "FRED"! Ha ha ha! That's not even the real Federal Reserve website! And it's from ST. LOUIS, not New York City! You've been played!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

yes, and I got the same response for the chart for house prices versus interest rates, that i believe was from Fred!

It almost feels like I have a mystical power now to actually understand graphs that other people are just refusing to look at or understand.

"yes, but it's more complicated than that..." "you're just repeating what you hear from websites you visit"

Everyone was like, "You are confused because you take advice from weirdos on the Internet, who are ignorant amateur economists."

THAT IS SO NOT TRUE! 😠

I'm the Internet weirdo giving the advice. 😂

haha, yes, and I send them your posts that they do agree with and hope that eventually they will realize it's the same person posting about both topics and think about the new topic with an open mind

Same. For me they laugh about it then go right back to assuming the current systems has its reasons and who are they to question it.

I think it takes a belief and knowledge that there is a way out if you try hard enough. The same game all wealthy folks have been playing for centuries. It takes the understanding that we are living in a "game" and you can't be passive about it. You need to be thinking about money at least as often as you exercise imo. Most people don't want that, I'm not saying it was my favorite workout routine either, but it doesn't seem like a choice if you ever want to get the gun away from your head.

The people in power play this game all day every day, if you aren't they will always be ahead of you. Most people I know just want to work their silly little jobs because it's fun and or easy, go home and forget about the struggle with a cold one and have some fun on the weekend. Eventually they will pay their $600k mortgage $100k in cars and probably another $50k in loans for home repairs.

Yeah, so bizarre, but I guess most people are meant to be serfs.

Maybe. I think the red pill required massive daily effort and rewards on low time preference, I often think about blue pilling it. Not to say that I feel like "giving up", but I guess I often question the sacrifice or perceived "risk" I may or may not be taking.

I can totally understand why people enjoy the blue pill is what I'm trying to say. Especially in software :) Just be lobbing out javascript apps all day on cloudflare and github.

Then you wouldn't be on our team. 🤙🏼

LFG

I hate eczemascript so bad

😂

even the most basic things like "government is the enemy of free individuals" or "euro is designed to makes you poor and devaluing your resources" makes me appear like a schizo with people IRL
