Dumb down youth via public schooling then lower voting age requirements. lol

Assuming the entire world is using the American education system..

I say you should only get to vote once. It's not fair that someone gets to vote more times just because they live longer.

This take is so bad I wish Nostr had negative zaps.

Bring it on Yam!

Also, thank you. That's exactly what I was going for.

No, it should be restricted to people in their prime: 30-60 years.

Why not 12? 🤣

Or 6 🤣

Should go back to male landowners.

That would even exclude me as things stand now. I'd be ok with it.

And owning a mortgage on property doest count. Being a shareholder of a company or enterprise that owns property doesn't count. Just individuals owning their own property.

Morons.

Because Labour dont stand a chance without the propagandised woke left indoctrinated school kids who haven't yet had to work and realise its all a load of shite

You sound like a zionist

Sure. Why wait for the imported population descendents to come of age?

They don't vote how I like but I appreciated having the right to vote when I was 16. (I didn't vote)

Nobody should "vote".

Your "vote" is nothing more than an endorsement of the system.

Don't know for UK but if , at 16, they can drive a car and get a credit card they are adult enought to vote aswell.

Yes, get them jaded and disappointed with politicians early. 💯

The bar should be an understanding or the policies and their likely outcomes rather than an age.

I doubt changing the voting age will make a difference.

It might make things worse.

How?

Most 16-year olds aren't mature enough or know enough about fiscal and monetary policy. In my opinion, if given the choice, they will vote for handouts, i.e. more socialist policies.

if you think voting will change anything, you're beyond repairable

If they can drive a car at 17

So yeah, voting age 16 seems fine 🤙🏽

Britian lowers voting age to 16.

Meanwhile Australia is banning people under 16 from being allowed to use the internet.

Crazy world we live in.

When the British are setting a better example than Australia USA or Canada

I'm from the UK. I'm in my 30s and my vote has never made a difference to the outcome of an election. My dad is in his 60s without his vote ever having made a difference to the outcome of an election. Voting is almost worthless here.
