I feel you on the studies, there's definitely more to be done there.
I'm using my intuition here.
When I'm around dim lighting or even better situations when I have a stockpile of beeswax candles I fall asleep faster.
Further, if you look at the light spectrum a candle gives off versus led light bulbs or your phone / TV / computer screen you see the dicotomy quite clearly.
Lastly, increasing intensity light waves have been proven to increase cognitive function & alertness - that's not even up for discussion & obvious to anyone who has dimmers.
Conclusion: blocking light waves from entering the eyes when the sun goes down seems like a promising intervention to aid in drowsiness.
I will be trying this myself using a 20$ pair that has been proven to block blue & green light waves - mimicking candle light.
