American presidential terms are 4 years and now we're spending 2 of those years worrying about the next election.
During those 2 years we spend $17 billion and drive half the country into frothing madness, but thanks to the electoral college it always comes down to the same 50,000 voters in the same three states.

Democracy doesn't work in the current form
everyone knows the system has been broken for decades but the charade continues, even though for almost everyone the results are ever declining quality of life and health
System is not broken, it works exactly as it supposed to!
true... and it's been that way from day 1, all the constitutionalist morons seriously believe forming the federation was ever a good thing or somehow got "corrupted" - before 1 decade was passed the racket was back in full effect
This is why left/right politics is irrelevant..
... and states have been gerrymandered to ensure a stalemate.
add to that that many who worrying and talking are outside US. europe also talking constantly about US election. add to that that probably president is not decisive part of overall US power machine.
but still US is great country )

Definitely seems we can approach presidency/voting from a much more effective and efficient angle…grateful for where we live but lets keep improving for sure
