Doesn’t silent.link have some way to recover if their payment flow is stuck? I guess I just lost 34K sats 😡

I second silent link. Great service and you can pay with lightning.
You can use silent.link + JMP.chat if you want some extra privacy/security. JMP gives you a VoIP phone number, which makes it harder for authorities to track you physically.
The software on your phone is easier to audit than the cellphone towers in your neighborhood..
Cheap? Really depends on where you are. 1300 USD for 1 GB 
I have used and liked silent.link, paid for via lightning. As you move between countries you just need to pick the provider with the lowest data cost. There is a page on their site that lists rates for many countries.
