Hasn't Substack ever banned anyone?
Discussion
I'm sure the answer is yes.
not that I’m aware of, no. and that’s one of the complaints, “aw, hate speech blablabla”
They need to abide by the laws and rules of a specific country, so without even checking we can be pretty sure the answer needs to be a resounding yes.
At the very least someone has certainly tried to post CP on substack at least once and gotten banned.
They may also ban porn in general; not sure.
I've heard abt substack writers not being protected enough from hate speech and harassment, and choosing to leave, but not deplatforming. I think substack has a hand's off approach, and doesn't do algo for engagement (from what the policy says) nor ads. It has its xx rules - no doxing, spams, porns etc.
Their system flagged my account as violating their ToS even though I didn't. I couldn't send emails or really do anything until I cleared it up with support.
It's one of the reasons I eventually moved to Ghost.
Yes, and that’s why this is just more anti-Elon drama. I don’t get it. Despite this asinine move, Twitter definitely sucks less now and just admit it, you get content there that you just can’t get anywhere else. Just be skeptical of Elon and go do something productive.
