If you are struggling with the fact that you were duped into helping to destroy innocent people for nefarious ends, denying reality isn't going to make anything better.
You were duped into thinking the people killed were innocents.

Well, half a million kids were killed in desert storm. Idk how many million were killed in the ~20 years of war that came next.
But if you think those kids don't count as innocent people, or that the kids in Gaza don't now, then may God have mercy on your soul because you have completely lost everything it means to be human.
If a father trains his kids to be blind killers, they aren't innocent.
If a Hamas soldier straps a kid to his chest, the onus is on the Hamas soldier.
If there's some collateral damage, for that I am sorry but the country supported Hamas and the ideas for many years - I can't say I don't feel bad about the situation because I do.
But I can say that we're done just taking bullets when we're surrounded, outnumbered, and they're all brainwashed.

I have many friends in many units, their stories are legit.
Hamas is armed & funded by Israel. They don't even hide it. They openly talk about their strategy to use Hamas to oppress people in Gaza & justify their war.

I'm not sure what having been somewhere has to do with anything. I don't want the government I am subject to meddling anywhere, so I'm against supporting Israel, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, "separatists" around the world, etc infinity.
To know geopolitical cause and effect without knowing the region in question is arrogance.

I understand you don't want your tax monies to go to different countries, but in general the US benefits greatly from their investments in Israel - the other countries not so much.
