Best way to keep builders from getting burnt out? Don't talk shit. Nothing is more demoralizing than seeing ignorant people trash something you've put your heart into for a period of months or years.

Talking shit is good as long as it's all true.
Being blind to our own ignorance is all too common. Unfortunately, the strength to admit our own weakness is not.
For every one loud shit-talker, there's 100 other people who are quietly inspired. Try not to forget that.

You can be more or less resilient, but no one is immune to it. Also, other less informed people get taken in by the trash talkers.

Yep. That's exactly why I cap dev hours at 10 hrs max a week. I'm "retired", and I don't need to prove myself anyone at this point.
