can you elaborate on kundalini?

im so new to it that I don’t know how. it’s a wild form of yoga that I suspect varies wildly depending on the instructor.

one of my bjj coach teaches that and breathwork so i’m starting to stay late and learn when I can

I’m on a mission to get more men into yoga. Picked it up at 50yo and have been shocked at the results. Full body, mind and spirit.

i had a lot of reservations & masculine objections to put down before I could try that & meditation despite a quiet curiosity, but man it is really something else. so many ways to practice too, very enriching

Right there with you, and it’s that internal masculine obstacle which can be really hard to overcome.

And it can really be a choose your own adventure which is great. I’m most amazed by the gains in flexibility. Shocking. Quieting the mind remains my biggest challenge.

I practised meditation for a long time and had profound experiences through it (pre pandemic).

However, I lost touch with it. Now I am slowly getting back in to it.

My mind is still restless and will gradually let it settle down.

My aim is to reach back to that state.

Very well put. It is a constant effort to calm the mind and for me that is sort of the overall point. Just the fact that you know that the thoughts are there and you can slow it down is like being half way there already.

Perhaps worth a read in a time when everybody seems to want the extreme version of stuff.
