I can’t unsee all the garbage Netflix has for kids now and even adults.
Wife and I watching a Xmas show and the main characters Dad was gay.
My daughter was watching a kids show where a boy was clearly trans and another girl was talking about her Dads (plural) being mad at her for some reason.
Stranger things now saying the kid is gay.
I have cancelled our Netflix subscription and have went back to the 80’s / 90’s classics if we are watching anything. Sick of this.
Gay people exist in real life, and having some gay characters in fiction is normal.
The issue is bad writing, forced themes, etc. Even many gay people would watch that particular Stranger Things scene and be like “uh… this is bad”.
Fair and true.
However, Netflix seems to be getting progressively worse with forced themes.
There are many movies/shows I like that have gay people, but it’s getting weird in some shows.

Secondly, if you aren’t a cunt, you are in fact being a bit of cunt by being quite rude yourself. Im sure youre cognisant that you craft your comments to be very specific and highly offensive to the people that they’re about. I’m not against free speech, you can say and think whatever you like. But In Australia we don’t find it that rude to point that out to each other when they are being a cunt about things, it’s not a big deal and actually quite appropriate sometimes.
