Okay you tech geeks... I'm looking to start some local groups and events, as always looking for FOSS over big tech. Went down the rabbit hole of alternatives to meetup or fecesbook and found this.

I'm wanting to get my own server this year and would love to self host something. Anyone else heard of this or have something else as an alternative to meetup?

I heard there were some challenges connecting to it via tor. Has that been resolved?

yea it’s been steadily getting more reliable.

Tor in general is always less reliable than clearnet. but Start9 did some voodoo magic to make even using tor feel faster than usual.
