Your mom.

Alien

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966)

Silence of the lambs

The Shining

Scream

The Ring

Midsommar (more recent and scary/decent)

The ring made me cry and gave me nightmares for years 😭

It spooked me pretty good at the time, ngl. And something about the production makes it stand out imo.

I suspect the OP may have high standards for good movie though

I love horror movies of all quality levels 🥰

Yeah, there's a time/place for them for sure.

The last horror movie I watched was The Void. I'm not looking for high production standards.

Just looked it up, see what you mean. Though looks kinda cool.

Oh, Sinners is the most recent one that was pretty good. Nothing really life changing in a while though, that I can think of.

I really loved the Ritual (2017) and His House (2020) on Netflix as well as Midsommar (2019). The Wicker Man (1973) and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) are my favorite older ones.

Ritual is a really fun one

Forevermore anytime there's a bump in the night I start screaming it's the jötunn. This does not make me popular but it does make me happy 😊

Black Christmas - 1974

Candyman - 1992

Secret Window - 2004

Event Horizon

Midsommar is good, was thinking of re-watching that.

Barbarian is a good contemporary horror movie.

Also thought Heretics was pretty good, although Hugh Grant basically carries it.

The Grudge and Insidious.

I only watch the latter season 1 I think
