Is subscribe a better term than follow?
Discussion
I “subscribe” to people I like and agree with. But I also “follow” people I don’t like or agree with.
🤔
Subscribe sounds like you’re paying for something
No.
Subscribe to me is more a service/product I want to consume without really interacting with the creator itself personally.
Subscribe implies payment. Follow implies obedience. Surely we can do better?
Orbit?
Tune In?

i like subscribe. you don’t necessarily have to pay. plenty of people subscribe to free newsletters and updates from people and companies. subscribe to lists. subscribe to updates etc.
No, follow is better.
