It's true tho right? Take a technical thing and add a cute creature. Boom, no longer scary.

A capybara also makes sense, the creature all the other creatures like, nonthreatening apolitical capybaras.

πŸ˜‚ it is somewhat true, but I don't think it's that simple. I just went through the process there and it is a bit confusing, but it's not scary.

Any input on making less confusing is very welcome, we are but a small under resourced team.

It is bonkers how such an importnat site everyone lands on first, has only had me doing a focus group with my father in law, on the side from my other projects.

It's about making it useful, sustainable, newb friendly, not evil and capturing newbs (so couldn't just be a client, which it originally was).

More resources are needed to make that site everything it should be, hence why it's now added to LNbits Inc raise, and has started to have some products on. One day.

Understandable. A couple simple things that I think could help:

Consider removal of the "start your journey" button at the top. It's too much, too soon. The copy isn't too long to scroll past if someone doesn't want to read it.

The landing after creating a free nip-05 could maybe have those buttons that link to to various app stores on it. That part of the process felt like there is no option but to create a nostr .com account.

I honestly don't know how difficult those things would be to adjust but I think they would make the process less confusing.

If you ever need someone who can barely hook up to a printer, but kind of understands Nostr, to look something over, I'd be happy to help.

Not after nip-05, before. Sorry πŸ˜… I confused myself.

Really nice input, thank you!

Everyone is a contributor, the none techy perspective/feedback is what gives these freedom technologies more reach.

Will def add a link back to apps in my dot nostr, and will have a think about that button πŸ™Œ

Apologies if my original note was too harsh. I thought maybe someone else had acquired it and was confused by what was going on with its drastic redesign. I completely understand wanting to make it appear less technical. That’s a good point. I just believe it could use some more polishing to modernize the layout. πŸ€™
