It becomes easier when you only ask questions.

I combat this by finding people in other sectors I care a great deal about. Tomorrow I get to go to a ranch and meet a whole shitload of other ranchers that are there for a cattle auction and hear talks on pasture management etc.

Total normies as far as bitcoin goes but guess what? They can't stand idle conversation with people who think their food comes from a grocery store.

We are almost the same.

I try to get people pissed about the dollar wherever I go. It’s not hard, I ask what they are gonna do about it. Definitely feels tedious.

just ask questions and listen.

imagine you are observing a wonderful species in the zoo.

don't loose faith. we are trying to learn in 5 minutes what many of you have learned in a decade.

and we do listen - even if some of it just makes no sense.

down the line the pieces do find their place and the gratitude ... that's off the charts.

I’m 60. Most of my friends have done fairly well in life. Most think my bitcoin journey is precarious at best, insane at worst. I just keep sprinkling the talk here and there. And I truly think a few have bitcoin and just won’t admit it to me. :)

I think the best angle for many people in the first world is the Alex Gladstein path. They may not yet see the need for them to invest in BTC because fiat has treated them fairly well - but Most of my friends - mostly republicans - do truly care about the less fortunate. And one story - say the story of Bangladesh basically pushed into debt slavery by the IMF, or I share with them how Gridless is bring power generation to areas in Africa (amazing!!)

Look - I’m not techie - but I’ve read and studied BTC for years - and my head is still swimming down all these rabbit holes. My friends are not going to take the time to study. Nor are they going to engage more than a tiny bit in deep conversations about The Fed, 6102, 1971, etc.

They need snapshots, memes, heartfelt stories.
