Quick question.

I have been pronouncing #Nostr like this: ‘noss-ter’. I recently noticed a lot of people say ‘know-ster’. Is this just a regional thing or is that correct?

I’ve also heard it as ‘naw-ster’ so maybe we can say it however we want. Maybe that’s the point.

in the south it’s “no sir”

Imagine telling someone that you'd rather learn about a person through some thing like an AI than talk to the person directly yourself.

That is what saying "no sir" to nostr is like. These are just messages that have been signed and the source of the information can be whatever we want.

Could be this relay, that relay, or just a web server. 😁

Thanks guys. I think I might just call #nostr by its full name - Nomadic Open Source Telecommunications Relay.

* yeah, I know it’s “Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays” but my version sounds more sci fi.

The self proclaimed #Nostr CEO nostr:nprofile1qqsvrlrhw86l5sv06wkyjgs6rrcekskvk7nx8k50qn9m7mqgeqxjpvgpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0tc48yt insists is is pronounced: no star.

I call it noss-ter like you. Meh.
