It would be great to understand what caused the developers to abandon the project. Anyone knows? Could they share their experience maybe in a podcast?
Flare looks very nice. My complaints are not being able to zap without NWC, and not being able to login in mobile bc only nip07 and stuff. And yeah we need it more than ever since YT changed the layout.

That will be true for anything that has network effect that we may want to replace, i.e. anything at all.

Seria ótimo se o LBRY / Odysee se integrasse ao Nostr... Eles tem uma boa equipe, mas ainda são muito centralizados.

Eles tinham prometido segurança para todos e muitos foram vendo os seus conteúdos serem barrados por pressões externas, seja de copyright ou outras.
Mas mesmo assim foram muito importantes... Durante a fraudemia foi um dos principais locais onde se podia encontrar oposições.
A questão é que até a própria Odysee hoje está quebrando e é por isso que é importante eles implementarem o Nostr, eles não têm outra opção, pois a base de usuários e financiadores é muito baixa.

I think maybe a kind of BitTorrent model might work, where you can post the same number of gigabytes that you host for others. Could increase s/n.
It isn't abandoned. I've just been working on some other stuff over the last 2 months. Happy to add more features if ppl dig it. Just want to get the hosting side better figured out so I don't have to be the main one responsible for hosting all of the content.
I hope that these new clients offer users more ways to find new content besides a search box or a global feed with minimal ways to filter their feed.
Content creators will not use a platform that does not help them grow their following.
Sats don’t matter if you only have 10 people zapping your posts. 1 sat isn’t even a penny. YT will at least pay that for each view on your video and use an algorithm to drive users to your content.
The majority of nostriches with huge followings on Nostr already had a substantial presence on traditional social media. Many of their followers just tagged along to Nostr.
