I haven't seen one that works in 20 years.
Was at a rest stop last week and saw one in the wild. Saw an older gentleman near it and asked him what it was with a huge smile on my face. Without missing a beat he said, ‘it’s for drug dealers.’

we did make trip to city Vienna few days ago and we did see that old thing too :-)
well, I did not take photo of that but I took photos of other interesting houses and places, check my older notes.
Its been ages since I last saw one of those, if they still exist anywhere near me I have no idea where they are. But of course my cellphone is going to be way cheaper.
The last time I used one was the year 1998, I was at a train station trying to call someone to pick me up. The phone was dead and the receiver earpiece was wet. Someone had spit directly into it minutes before. I have never touched one since.
