I strongly recommend that everyone take a few minutes today to let Katherine Long know what you think of her doxing nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6

I might consider it if I still had a xitter account 🙂

Waste of time. These people have no dignity. They actually feel as if they are some righteous warriors and when they hear angry responses that only justifies their righteous behavior. They are batshit crazy.

Unfortunately I feel this is true.

We need a better way.

They asleep

I feel like giving her any kind of direct engagement is just the signal she craves to let her know she’s “doing the right thing.”

If I had any other socials I would !

bitcoiners understand privacy

normies not so much

what a petty article. articulates nothing, but desperate clickbait for the dying median that is modern journalism. Feel for the guy. Although, I think he’ll be fine, nobody reads business insider anyways.

What happened?

She wrote an article doxxing nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6

I guess it‘s this one then?

I find it interesting. In my head this read by monotone news presentrix. Often emphasising the name pairs so that they stick for the internet. You really can feel how facts are born into existence, being pressed out in waves, although not in pain.

Don’t give her the engagement she so craves.

I love the “send me tips” 😂

I don't think these people give a shit tbh.

I ponder: —"What a boomerang effect investigatory journalism will have on journalists in future!"

I would have taken a different approach… but prolly equally as futile.

I suggest we message publicly not privately. After all she went nuclear by posting the article to the world.

I’ve sent her my warm regards on LinkedIn.

Yes. But best to do it in a way that doesn’t increase engagement on the post and therefore revenue for her.

I also responded publicly.

Privately messaging someone how upset you are really doesn’t make Nostr look good to non-nostr users.

You risk feeding the beast and giving even more fuel for their fire.

They don’t see it as a problem for someone to be named, so they won’t see this as warranted and can blow it out of proportion.

Fiatjaf is no longer generally anonymous, this won’t help that.

Shake it off.

I publicly messaged her and her shit publication as well.

I do think it makes a difference. Getting buried in messages that aren’t personal attacks but are clear that you think they are way out of line absolutely makes a difference.

ffs

doxing =/= journalism

💯

When not shilling trader fundamentalist hype, Business Insider's core function seems to be specializing in gossip styled discourse littered with sensational, politically-charged and unresearched terms. It confirms an offensive motivation but also ideological flaws. The net effect is that it tars the the identity with an immature, scholastic, and profit-driven odour.

The obvious regirgitation of familiar names, to and from similar archaic publications also speak to the of revolving door of media personalities, and the conflict of interests within the industry. Media proving itself on the wrong side of history.

I'd write it to Kathy, but I think the comments here say it better.

That was utterly fucked. the piece was itself just liberal progressive click-bait that actually made the case for NOSTR

Long must be assuming the CIA repetition tricks of repeating the word "Fascist" make her a righteous vigilante

I’d be surprised if she can even properly define what fascist even means.

almost a pre req for ppl using the word these days 😅

Long: "someone I disagree with"

Thanks for the info!🙏

It's useful to know here which c**ts to mute and not send any tips!👎
