Asmongold (one of the top gamer twitch streamers) released a video the other day commenting on a video that broke down all the evidence that elon bought his top level hardcore PoE character. Elon is still maintaining this lie for some reason.

you would need to be playing nonstop since the game came out to be at that level and gear. He really wants people to think he’s a “pro gamer” for some reason.

I have been keeping close tabs on this whole thing. It all started with Quin doing a video exposing Elon as a fraud (which I will link to), and then Asmon reacting to it. Asmon is a reaction streamer who games, but folks like Quin and Kripparian play POE2 like it is their religion. I don't think anyone cares that Elon paid for boosted characters, but what is really weird is that he lies about it to try to get clout with...someone? It has to be some sort of marketing plan for both Star link and his overall image/brand. It is very obvious(especially to anyone who plays POE) that he is lying about his skills and time in the game. I am closing in on 100 hours myself and no where near the gear and character level. No way he is putting 100+ hours into a video game.

He could have achieved a better result by just playing the game and not pretending to be something he is not. But I guess that is his motto.

I agree if these accusations have merit, he will be diminished in my eyes.

Of course: Elon has many detractors with Elon derangement syndrome, a certain percentage of whom manage to spin a tale that seems compelling from afar, only to have it fall apart in the end.

So it would be nice to have trustworthy people to evaluate accusations of this nature in depth.

he bragged about being a top level diablo player as well. he said he was the best in the world on joe rogan. maybe he finally admitted it after the sweaty gamers caught him on his lie ? I haven't seen him admit it yet, but maybe I missed it. I saw him joke that "yi long ma" is playing his account, as if he was making fun of the people accusing him.

I dunno. Twitter is the only Musk company that Musk actually manages. All the rest are run by other, competent people. I think he's good at knowing which companies to buy. And I think he's a good making crazy promises and then working day and night to make them a reality. But the actual day-to-day management of a business? Not so much.
