How do I rebalance my channels on AlbyHub? #asknostr
Discussion
boltz.exchange OR robosats
Ideally I don't want to cash out, but simply add more liquidity to the other channels. But maybe that's the way to do it...
I sent sats to a different wallet then fired them in small batches back at my hub. Sometimes they went to the channels I wanted and sometimes not. Not at all efficient but it did the trick in making my outbound liquidity somewhat more balanced.
At least for your outbound, lower your fees to 0/0 and let it happen naturally
Hey! π If you only have private channels and enough "Receiving Capacity," there's no need to rebalance anything. Even with public channels, the default low fees ensure you're not routing payments for others, so rebalancing isn't necessary either.
The only time you'd need to rebalance is if you want to contribute to the network by increasing routing paths and probabilities for others. However, self-custodial wallets are primarily designed for personal use on Lightning, leveraging existing routing infrastructure without adding more.
I know you many of you guys knows this, but this was an answer more for the public that read these comments. Hope this helps! π
