What was immature about any of my remarks on this issue? As a response to his being offended, yes I jumped right on his bandwagon. I feel no inclination to be mature with my response to someone being an idiot. If they want to remove that from the conversation I’ll happily join them.

Quite the contrary. If someone runs up to you in the playground and slaps you, the proper response is to punch them square in the face and walk away.
The first person was violent and being a bitch, the response was perfectly justified.
