What if Iām curating for others? Am I not actively censoring things I donāt want to include?

No. Their notes are still available to be curated by anyone else. Inclusion doesn't mean include everyone, it means everyone *can* be included. If I have a bus that holds 24 people and 38 want to go, I have to make a decision about who gets to go. Those 10 are more than welcome to come if they get their own bus. Or maybe I'll get a second bus for them, but they all cannot be included in that first bus.

I believe if the person viewing the curated content is aware and has the choice, or has chosen to have it curated, then it isnāt.
Yes. You need to include absolutely everything in the universe - past, present, and future. Also imaginary things. And stuff in the multiverse. Otherwise you're censoring. Making any sort of choice is censorship. Simply by considering curation, you're already on the fast-track to censorship. Slippery slope, my friend.
No, I see it as a way to help users discover content they might be interested in. I think it will be useful especially in Nostr.
Curation is not censorship, as long as the user is aware that heās seeing curated content, and can opt out, and look for the content he wants himself.

No, curation is something we are all going to need a whole lot of in different forms as AI drives available content to infinity. But awareness & individual control of curation is important.

Curation is independent of the idea of censorship. Itās filtering using your values.
Censorship is explicitly hiding, manipulating, or violently attacking people whoād iscuss ideas with the express intent to manipulate their ability to curate ideas that align to their values.
Censorship is a form of lying by forcing *others* to omit facts or what they truly believe.
No, censorship, in my opinion, can only be done by a government.
when the FBI goes to twitter to delete tweets, it's censorship.
When twitter acts independently on reports of hate-speech against their TOS, that's curation/moderation.
The difference is that the government can then go to Facebook and do the same, whereas twitter's jurisdiction is limited to their own platform.
