gold is an amazing elemental substance, miraculous in many non-monetary ways! the best conductor, malleable beyond reason, reflective, able to be a sheet 1 atom thick. a bar of gold, you could eat it slowly over a lifetime of sushi and jagermeister consumption
I don't trust gold purity enough to ingest it (especially london gold).
Plenty of other uses though. It's the simplest, most perfect metal.

I have pretty much written it off as inconsequential now, only to be sold if something happens that totally side swipes me.
Interested as to why you're so against it...? bitcoin is obviously far better as money but it is nice to own a bit as jewelry, a nice chain or ring. To know for eternity that piece of metal will never deteriorate is quite something tbh...
