Could #Bitcoin be anti-war money eventually? Any thoughts on this?
Discussion
Elaborate for me if you I just want to know if i am understanding the question correctly
Imo, global currency war- USD vs BRICKS could lead to more conflicts and wars. Also, escalating wealth gaps and political divisions in fiat-based economies is likely to increase more wars. I wonder Bitcoin helps to reduce that if its adoption rate increases fast enough.
Eventually yes but in the short term the US will fight whilst they have military strength, likely have a massive print to fund a last ditch attempt to maintain hegemony and only after much death and destruction is that future gonna be possible.
Sad but that’s more likely to happen, and young ppl and kids have to pay for the huge price :( I wish we don’t have to go through that!
The only way it doesn’t engulf everyone is a US Civil War, which won’t be much better.
You don’t have a war machine like the US has built and not use it whilst the empire crumbles though. One way or another people should expect major US-led conflict this decade.
The price tag of the conflict would affect not only the US but other nations using USD, having them lose the value of it!
If not ‘anti-war’, less war.. without printing, was actually has to be sold to the public, and is a lot more expensive..
was = war..
I think the antiwar aspect of Bitcoin can be understood by people who have not looked into it, if explained that in a easy way.
Money doesn’t have to be sold to the public, they’ll willingly accept it. Bitcoin can’t be “anti-war money” because it’s not actually money that can be used to buy day to day goods.

I’m not sure about that, but I’m sure #Bitcoin has no boundaries, and it can help people all over the world.
Could be in the sense that hard money makes it harder for tyrants to wake war since they need to tax the population to do it. Also in the sense that bitcoiners tend to be peace loving people who just want to be left alone in my experience so them becoming more economically influencial could lead to influence over government away from war and towards more respecting individuals. Also competition for bitcoiners could make states focussed on pleasing their citizens rather than waging war. On the other hand, dependence on oil and gas for energy is going to be a constant source of tension so we will need nuclear or some other high density energy technology to be developed in all nations before we can truly move beyond the practical reality of needing to secure energy at any cost.
I agree that energy war continues. Good thing about Bitcoin is that it can facilitate innovation in the energy sector in large corps and also push more energy productions in small scale like projects in villages and towns.
I think RFK Jr supports Bitcoin for both freedom and also peace. He’s against wars strongly.
Wars didn't typically go on for decades before nations could tax through inflation. Imagine how quickly the Iraq war would have been ended if they had to repeatedly beg Americans for more funding. Since the Federal government was able to counterfeit (print) money, we had to beg them to stop the war.
Its not exactly resource wars that the US has fought, we haven't extracted much in way of resources from the countries we have fought in. The wars we fight are specifically about maintaining monetary dominance, if you go against the petrodollar and you don't have nukes then we turn your country into a crater.
So, to the first point people have brought up here, yes, wars can no longer be paid for through printing so less war. Additionally, fewer wars because there is no struggle for dominance over the moneytary system. There's no profit in resource wars, exploitation like this died off hundreds of years ago because the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
Great explanation! Ty🧡
